The Arbel, an imposing mountain plateau, stands guard over the fertile farmland of the Lower Galilee region. Rare plants and animals make their home here, amongst ruins of ancient Jewish homes and a once-magnificent synagogue. Nearly inaccessible caves hewn into the steep cliff walls served as a fortress for two Jewish revolts against the Romans. Arbel offers visitors a breathtaking combination of Jewish history and natural beauty. More information about this national park is available here.
